TUMAC donates Le250 million for fencing of Macauley Street Cemetery

As he continues his development strides in reaching out to every nook and cranny of the country through his philanthropy, the business heavy weight and philanthropic guru, Dr. Mohamed Tunde Macarthy aka Tumac (in photo), on Monday the 28th of August, 2017 turned sod for the construction of the Macauley Street cemetery fence worth over Le250 million. The construction of the said cemetery fence that is solely funded by him, which is also the third one in the Freetown Municipality alone, after having constructed the Kissy Mess Mess and the Race Cross cemeteries, forms part of his countless philanthropic contributions to the country especially our lost loved ones.

Dr. Macarthy, whose name is synonymous to development due to his immeasurable development strides throughout the country, is no stranger to such projects as he single handedly funded the fencing of the Kissy Mess Mess and the Race Cross Cemeteries, construction of various roads across the municipality and the country at large, construction of several bridges and countless gestures across all sects of people throughout the country. He is also solely funding the ongoing construction of the Approved School “ Kuntorlor road worth over Le500 million.  Being the only Sierra Leonean that made bulk of his money abroad and use it to develop his country, his developmental and philanthropist strides cut across region, tribe, and political affiliation.

Speaking to this medium, the philanthropic guru noted that our dead loved ones deserved to be accorded their last respect because every human being is inevitably going to be dead one day and therefore it is incumbent on us that are alive to ensure that we maintain our eternal homes. He maintained that it pains him a lot to hear the ugly incidences occurring to these cemeteries where by wicked people go and remove our dead loved ones from their graves for their selfish purposes, which he said was one of the reason that spurred him to fence the cemetery. He disclosed that he will continue doing this until he sees that all our cemeteries are fenced and secured.

When asked about the motive behind his development strides towards the nation, TUMAC disclosed that, he is doing what he is doing because he loves to see his country developed and that he is not doing it for any political reason. He maintained that with or without politics, he will still continue to do his best in ensuring that we all have a better Sierra Leone.  “I have been doing this before now,” he stated adding that nothing will stop him from continuing his development strides for the nation.
