Armed Robbers Terrorize Freetown – Six Killed
Information gathered by this medium has revealed that six heavily armed robbers who invaded Mercury sub office at Wellington yesterday have been killed by the police.
The armed robbers were reported to have mutilated an OSD police officer during the process but that some Motorbike riders stormed in to help the police resulting to six of the robbers shot dead.
The gun firing, according to the source, left some traders in Wellington and Calaba Town markets in disarray, many of whom abandoned their goods and fled to save their precious and irreplaceable lives.
The daring armed robbers reportedly invaded the Wellington and Calaba Town communities in broad day light and unleashed terror in their desperate attempt to loot the Mercury office but met a fierce resistance from the police and residents of the communities and in the process, six were killed and their remains have been conveyed to the Connaught Hospital Mortuary.
Incidences of bold armed robbery attacks in the capital city and the provincial towns have become frequent but the police are doing their best to put the situation under control.
