Madam Posseh Kanu with GSM Number 030 347213 is the lucky winner of Le20, 000,000 (twenty million Leones) in the just concluded Africell Valentine Promotion. The Fish Monger, who resides at Tokeh in the Western Area Rural District, emerged as a lucky winner at a transparent manual raffle draw that was held on Sunday 14th February 2016 (on Valentine’s Day) at the Chez Nous Restaurant, Lumley Beach in Freetown. Madam Posseh Kanu was full joy after she was notified of her win. She revealed that her current capital is less than Le500, 000 (five hundred thousand), which she has been using to support her four children. As a single parent, she is hoping to spend her Le20milion to repair her dilapidated house, pay her children’s school fees and improve on her business.

The Africell Valentine Promotion aimed at rewarding subscribers for their loyalty and staying connected with the number one GSM service providers in the country. Over the years, the company has rewarded subscribers with billions of Leones through their promotions and value added services.

The just concluded Valentine Promotion is a Radio/TV promotion that rewarded lucky winners with 500megabytes and other consolation prizes. A total of fifty lucky winners qualified to enter a final manual draw and a Valentine Dinner held on Sunday.

Africell’s  Head of Cooperate Affairs, Joe Abass Bangura who served as Guest of Honour for the manual draw said there is hope for all qualifiers whether the win the cash prize or not. “Do not look low on yourselves. There is hope in life,” he said, and added that “when you dig out what is in you, you are good for life.”

The event brought together Africell Staff, subscribers and other well-wishers. It was moderated by Abdulai Jalloh (aka Tamba B and Chief Koblo Koblo) and Nancy L. Joseph.

The Manager of Chez Nous Restaurant, Faysal Debeis has offered the winner a dinner for two.
