French company donate medical containers to Sierra Leone

The relentless diplomatic lobbying by Ambassador Ibrahim Sorie in his countries of accreditation (Belgium, Netherland, France, Greece, Luxembourg and The Vatican) since the outbreak of the Ebola pandemic in Sierra Leone, continue to yield positive results.

After witnessing the dispatch of two 20ft Containers loaded with medical equipment in Holland for Freetown last Monday, a French security company which specializes in the supply of security outfits to the Military, Police, Gendarmerie, Fire-force etc, has also shipped two 20ft Containers of medical equipment to Freetown.

The ship carrying the two Containers provided by MAG FORCE International is expected to berth at the Queen Elizabeth 11 Quay in Freetown, first week in November.

The donated items worth over 120,000 Euros (One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Euros) include military tents for isolation units, Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), Bunker beds, new clothing for Ebola orphans and victims, etc.

Speaking during the presentation of the two Containers in Paris, MAG FORCE International Director, Abdoul Wahab Kebe said the company believes in the future of Sierra Leone and intend to forge ahead the partnership between his company and Sierra Leone. “We believe in the future of Sierra Leone. We believe the current Ebola problem will come to pass and Sierra Leone will be back on track the road to prosperity. This is why we are contributing in our own little way to help eradicate this disease in the country”.

Sierra Leone’s Minister of Transport and Aviation, Leonard Balogun Koroma, aka Logus, who was coincidentally in France to sign the France/ Sierra Leone Air Traffic Agreement, and was given the honour by Ambassador Ibrahim Sorie to receive the donated Containers on behalf of the people and government of Sierra Leone, thanked the MAG FORCE management for their generous intervention in the Ebola crisis.

Both respondents (Minister and Ambassador) expressed satisfaction with the quality of the donated items and their usefulness. They assured the MAG FORCE management that the donated items will meet the targeted beneficiaries and further expressed confidence that the items will be of immense benefit and create the necessary impact in the fight against Ebola.

They further paid tribute to the Sierra Leonean born, Amara Adikali Kamara who was instrumental in linking up the MAG FORCE International with the Embassy in Brussels and the government of Sierra Leone.
