President Koroma to set up committee for Dumanski

This press has learnt that a special committee from All Works of Life will soon be set up by President Ernest Bai Koroma to look into the matter of Victor Dumanski $2m  houses confiscated by the Court of Sierra Leone over a year ago.

Sources disclosed that since the decision was taken against Victor Dumanski, there has been widespread condemnation against the judiciary of Sierra Leone by both local and international Civil Society Organizations, Embassies, Human Rights Organizations, and the press, of how Victor Dumanski was robbed of justice because the judgment was hastily given at a time when high court was on the verge of going for vacation – thereby depriving him of his right of appeal adding that nor was he informed before or during the high court ruling of his right to appeal.

In tears, Dumanski told our reporter of how bailiffs took thousands of dollars from him before he was finally kicked out of the house. His properties worth millions of Leones were carted away by thieves. He intimated that this action by the judiciary has completely devastated him with no one to turn to for justice. He is pleading with President Koroma to critically look into his matter since he has received his correct documents pertaining to his houses. “What I have suffered in Sierra Leone cannot happen in Ukraine or Russia but in Sierra Leone anything can happen underlining that justice is only for the rich and not for the poor.”
