Police Boss tours police stations on Reflection Day

Inspector General of Police, Francis Allieu Munu (in photo), on Monday August 4, 2014 took a conductive tour to all Police Divisional Stations in the City during Reflection day that was declared by the President Ernest Bai Koroma calling on all Sierra Leoneans to stay home and reflect through prayers to see an end of the Ebola virus out of the country.

At the Congo Cross Police Station, in the West of Freetown the IG, in an exclusive interview with this medium, said his mission to tour the Police station was to assess the level of compliance of his personnel in the whole exercise at the various Divisional Headquarters especially in the Kissy, Calaba Town, Jui and the far East end of the City in the Western area Urban and rural areas.

He noted that during the tour, he discovered that the compliance and moral of personnel was very good and hope to continue to increase the sensitization process until everybody knows and accept the reality of this dreadful disease called Ebola that has ravaged the lives of good citizens.

He also appealed to the public to take the precautionary measures and regulation given by the Ministry of Health and Sanitation mostly his police officers to ensure that the go in accordance with the laws.

IG Munu, also cautioned the public to desist from the habit of denial and blame game an act that would not make any good for the country, he underscored the need for all work together concertedly in making sure that the virus is eradicated out of the country in no time based on our united effort.

Local Unit Commander West at the Congo Cross Police Division, Chief Superintendent, Thomas M. Lahai commended the Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police describing him as champion in the fight against the Ebola sensitization process which is in line with the clarion call of the President.

L.U.C Lahai maintained that his division had been working tooth and nail to ensure that crime rate is minimized in his area of operations through the cooperation of the public which is as result of his charismatic administrative methods and procedures a development that has led to lots of changes to the appreciation of the citizens.

LUCs in all the Police stations visited by the IG Munu assured him of their support and cooperation to implement laws and regulation as would be given to them.
