Mysterious disappearance of kids, child trafficker in police net

One Umaru Jalloh of Upper Kola Tree area in Freetown has been arrested and detained at the Ross Road Police Station for allegedly trafficking three kids to Guinea.

This was confirmed to Sierra Express Media yesterday by an official of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, Samuella George during an exclusive interview.

Umaru is reported to have taken to the notorious fetish town of Kankan, Guinea his three biological children, Assia Jalloh (9), Bintu Jalloh (6), and Hassanatu Jalloh (4), doing so six months ago without the knowledge and consent of the children’s mothers or other relatives.

When the children’s mothers and other relatives raised hell over the mysterious disappearance of their kids, Umaru reportedly admitted taking them to Guinea where he went and returned with two of the kids who are now deformed. The whereabouts of the other kid, Hassanatu, remains a mystery, reports continue.

There has been widespread suspicion that Umaru has used the kids for ritual purposes, especially when he came back with the two kids deformed and is yet to state the whereabouts of the 4 year old, Hassanatu Jalloh. He is helping the Ross Road police in their investigation.
