“I am very excited about today’s launch of AAI’s Conversations on Africa (COA) Series. The renewal of the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act is both timely and exciting, especially as the Obama Administration prepares to   ost numerous African Heads of State in Washington for the US – Africa Leader’s Summit 2014 on August 5-6. Because of A.G.O.A., since 2001 total trade between the United States of America and sub-Saharan Africa has more than doubled from $28.2 billion to $72.3 billion in 2012 resulting in the creation of thousands of jobs in Africa
