Target Unit explores musical talent

Target Unit is a musical group that consisted of several melodic Stars based at the newly renovated Woodland Estate Complex Congo Cross in Freetown with the theme: ‘harder than ever’. The group comprises of four (4) Hip Hop rappers including the Chief Executive Officer, lyrically called Rap ten (10), Edwardo a teacher at Government Technical Secondary School, King MO and Rap Jay.

According to the CEO of group, Rap Ten (10), the group has existed since 2007 adding that they delayed to premier their first debut album because some members of the squad were pursuing tertiary education. He explained that they have presently recorded eight tracks including their first track ever title: As you like it, creep to the top, life in the hood, deep Nar me heart, repatriation a song they played with a Jamaican musician who is a Maroon by tribe Mr. Kenneth McCauley also known as Rass Blood, a name he derived under a group called Flag Staff in Jamaica  came on a tour recently in Sierra  Leone  to learn about the ethnic group he belongs which is the Maroons , one of the early settlers in Sierra Leone. Rap ten wraps that the album which they will soon be launched revealed the reality of life and explaining the struggle that going round the world.

The Rap star described the video clip they have recorded ‘as you like it’ as their national anthem and the first music they sang since they formed Target Unit musical group. “Majestic record is our record label owned by Joselah Gbondo a Sierra Leonean Super star who has represented Sierra Leone in Nigeria project fame in 2010,’’ said Rap ten.

He re-echoed and further discussed that the album will be a pride for the country as they represented the country national flag.
