Aberdeen youths say they want Hon. Johnson

A huge number of young people at Aberdeen, Freetown have expressed love and appreciation to Hon. Johnson of Constituency 111 for his developmental strides and have vowed to support  him for the next ten years.

This significant appeal was made 7th April, 2014 to Hon. Johnson by some reasonable young men at the ongoing Aberdeen Mini Stadium construction site while he was working and playing together with the community youths.

Outlining achievements  of the sitting Parliamentarian for Constituency 111, one of the youth activists in Ward 392 Aberdeen Mr. Musa B. Mansaray disclosed that they as young people very much appreciate the work of Hon. Johnson because according to him the Honorable has delivered most of his promises he made to his constituents even before time. He outlined that, Hon. Johnson has not only cooked for hundreds of school children every Friday before he became Parliamentarian but he has also distributed a number of school utensils to school kids adding that, he has also dished out scholarships to many disadvantaged children in primary, secondary and tertiary education. He also profiled that, Johnson  promising them during his campaign trail to build a mini stadium that will host about 5,000 spectators and this stadium is almost at completion stage.

Another young man called Julius Agie Sullaiman Allen described the construction project of Aberdeen playing field as kicking because according to him, the project is moving faster without any delay.

Mohamed Koroma, a football player emphasized how they hold Hon. Johnson in high esteem for the fact that he has made several improvements on the area of water provision, education, and he even supported teachers around the community with bicycles to keep them more committed and focused in their work.

Responding to an interview, Hon. Johnson maintained that he decided to undertake the Aberdeen Mini Stadium construction project as a means of responding to promises he earlier made during campaign period. He made it understandably that, during the campaign period, he promised to build a Mini Stadium in 6 months time, which he has undertaken in less than a 4 months period.  “I have provided pipe borne water at Murray Town barracks which have existed for about 30 years without a water facility”. said Hon Johnson and he supplement that, the youths who he described as football lovers have just concluded a football gala competition in appreciation of the good work he rendered in the community.

He pointed out that he has a very good working relationship with the councilors in all the three wards of his constituency. He told youths in his constituency that,  “I am an Honorable with a difference and I am ready to work with them at all time as far as development is concerned.” He asserted and admonished youths and community people to be patient and understand that development is a systematic process. “I am using my money to implement this project,” Johnson re-echoed he expressed gratefulness to the young people of Aberdeen for ensuring the success of the scheme.
