FSSG Forms ABC Club Executives

In order to foster Attitudinal and Behavioral Change campaign in school; pupils of the Freetown Secondary School for Girls (FSSG) on Tuesday, 25th March, 2014 formed an executive for the School’s Attitudinal and Behavioral Change Campaign Club.  Madam Nanette Thomas, ABC Nat. The formation of the executive came after the school established an ABC Club following the Attitudinal and Behavioral Change (ABC) Secretariat’s training for ABC Pilot Schools which was held in February.

Following the performance of the pupils during the training, members of the club chose Agnes Moseray as President, Eddima Conteh Vice-President, and the Secretary General Hannah Bull, Assistant Secretary General Marion Clerkson while the Public Relation Officer is Isabella E.F Stanley and Hawa M. Bangura as her Assistant.

During the formation of the formation of the executive, the National Coordinator and Second-in-Command of the Attitudinal and Behavioral Change (ABC) Secretariat told the pupils that they have a hectic task to perform, “remember that you are the role models in your school and communities” she added.

She went on saying that as role models they should respect their teachers, their colleagues, obey the set rules and regulations of the school as well as conducting themselves very well in terms of academic performance by not cheating during examination.

The Acting Principle for the school, Miss Florence Davies in her remarks thanked the ABC Secretariat for choosing her School as one of the pilot schools for positive attitude and behavior; she also thanked her pupils for making themselves available for the daunting task ahead.

The President of the FSSG ABC Club, Agnes Moseray in her speech disclosed that she felt honoured to be selected as the president of the club, she went on to commend her colleagues for giving her such  honour.

Agnes Moseray thanked the ABC Secretariat for selecting her school as one of the pilot schools in the country; she promised that the Secretariat would not regret their decision.

“As President, I will make sure that I work with my executive and the School Administration to promote the motive of the club,” she promised, adding that her executive would also work in collaboration with the ABC Secretariat to ensure that other pupils imbibe positive attitude and behavior.

She further informed members of the Secretariat that her Club would be coming up with useful educational programs concerning positive attitude and behaviours that would help other pupils and members of their communities be positive in their attitude and behavior.

The FSSG Attitudinal and Behavioural Change (ABC) Secretariat Agents of Change Club will be inaugurated next month for it to start full operation.
