Over increased rape … Waterloo women storm police station

Latest reports reaching this press have indicated that hundreds of women on Tuesday, February 25, stormed the Waterloo Police Station demanding to kill a rapist who is believed to have supernatural means to enter houses and rape women of all ages.

According to Officer Commanding Alie Sesay, Head of Family Support Unit at the Waterloo Police Station, he received an urgent call from the community that one Alusine Sandy has been raping women and that the women have vowed to teach him a bitter lesson that he will never forget in his life.

Officer Commanding Alie intimated that the accused was handed over to the Police by the Headman of the village, Mr. Davies Koroma, who prevented the angry women from mobbing him to death.

The Headman said that he receives complaints everyday from women of rape and if desperate measures are not put in place the accused will be killed.

The Headman also opined that the community will suffer as violence and crime such as rape is on the rampage in the community.

The accused Alusine Sandy pleaded not guilty during investigations and is presently detained at the Waterloo Police Station.

The Police have assured the angry women that everything will be done to ensure the accused is brought to justice.
