A New Message from Alim Kamara

Greetings good folks,

Hope you are well. I’m going to let my publicist speak on this one. I would just like to say thank you for the support. On with the show….

A-Scholars, a programme founded by Alim Kamara, is set primarily to encourage people to give back to their respective communities – the place we often call home. This doesn’t just involve throwing money at a local or international charity but actually getting involved. So far A-Scholars has contributed towards the education of 600 students. Another trip which has been planned for December 2013 is already in motion in which A-Scholars is set to double its efforts to support the children of Sierra Leone, Gbinti.

Alim Kamara, founder of A-Scholars and UK’s next Hip Hop artist, a ridiculously talented lyricist is (awarded Best Poet BEFFTA 2013) using Hip Hop in a unique way; encouraging artist and audiences alike to make a difference. Through A-Scholars, young people in Sierra Leone are given opportunities to reach heights they never thought they would reach. In addition to this work, on the 30th November, Sierra Leone Excellence Awards has recognised his efforts by awarding him and his team with the Best Community Award 2013.

Being raised in one of the most socially deprived areas in London has been a driving force in Alim’s chosen path. He hopes that he will continue to inspire others by his choice to give back to his community. Furthermore, Alim through his innate passionate for Hip Hop continues to be an inspiration to thousands of students in the UK where he spends time giving motivational and inspirational talks.

The A-Scholars movement actively encourages people to set up their own charities or actively join forces with the A-Scholars movement to help communities in need of educational materials and much more.

So the idea behind all of this is to support a young person today!
