AWOL to award 31 Sierra Leoneans

The Chairman of All Works of Life (AWOL), Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr., has said that thirty one renowned Sierra Leoneans will this year receive various awards during their annual awards event at the Family Kingdom in Aberdeen in the west of Freetown.

Addressing Journalists yesterday at a press conference at the organization’s headquarters at 23 Pademba Road in Freetown, Ambassador Navo Jr. stated that they continue to be the biggest group that gives the most prestigious awards to Sierra Leoneans who have excelled themselves in their professions and vocations every year.

He revealed that this year there will be thirty one categories of awards, namely

  • Academic Institution of the year
  • Tertiary Institution of the Year,
  • Secondary School of the year
  • Primary School of the year
  • Young academic achiever of the year (NPSE)
  • B.E.C.E. of the year
  • WASSCE of the year
  • Sport personality of the year
  • Ministry of the year
  • Local Council of the yea
  • Parastatal of the year
  • Print media house of the year
  • Electronic media house of the year
  • Special recognition Award U.K.
  • Special recognition Award U.S.A.
  • Special recognition award, innovation
  • Performing artist of the year
  • Movie of the year
  • Communications company of the year
  • Financial Institution of the year
  • Petty Trader of the year
  • Indigenous entrepreneur of the year
  • Medical institution of the year
  • Legal Practitioner of the year
  • Philanthropist of the year
  • Military Officer of the year
  • Prison Officer of the year
  • Farmer of the year, and
  • Police Officer of the year.
