Sunday Foundation opens Girls Secondary School in Kambia

The Sunday Foundation, a charitable non-Governmental organization established in Sierra Leone, currently operating in the Kambia district in the north of the country, has opened the Sunday Foundation Girls Secondary School.

Speaking to the newly appointed Principal of the school, Mrs. Josephine Kamara, she disclosed that her utmost priority is to bring up her pupils to become the pride of Kambia District.

She explained that pupils with reasonable government pass marks will be admitted in the school while the cases of less-privileged children are of concern to her.

She revealed that she will approach humanitarian bodies to help such disadvantaged girls.

Mrs. Kamara said that Teachers who have gained employment in the school were scrutinized and are trained and certified Teachers.

She stated that the community people have expressed their joy about the establishment of the new school.

She concluded that her administration will work hard to achieve the desired standards in education for the girl child in that part of the country, stressing that they will also campaign against teenage pregnancy and early marriage in that part of the country.
