Selection of players to the national female football team, Sierra Queens, will be done after the trials ahead of the first leg fixtures for the 2014 CAF Women’s Championship qualifiers.

Sierra Queens will play Super Falcons away in Nigeria in the first leg on the weekend of 13, 14, 15 February 2014. The return leg will be played in Freetown in a fortnight.

The winner of this tie will face the winner between Rwanda and Kenya in the competitions second round of matches. The finals of the tournament will be hosted in Namibia later next year.

Meanwhile seasoned football administrator Harold Nat-Johnson, former football power house Fornie Conteh, and Hannah Williams, have been appointed as Team Manager for the female national teams, Coordinator of all female teams, and Head Coach Sierra Queens respectively.

Fornie Conteh and Hannah William have been contracted for six months, subject to renewal by the FA, based on performance.
