General Sfano gains the attention of MAFFS officials
Senior official at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security Mr. Conteh has disclosed to this medium that the King of Pop in Sierra Leone, Sfano Njawa Sesay popularly known as General Sfano has gained the attention of the head of Information, Education and Communications (IEC) Mr. Conteh and other officials to produce a theme song on food security and food sufficiency.
Conteh said that General Sfano is a unique musician in Sierra Leone who has the potential to cut across all ages and sex through his music and dance skills and that the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security has for long being eager to get him on board to convince the public on the need for food Security and sufficiency in the country.
“There is a need for the people of this country to fully accept the fact that food security and food sufficiency is helpful to the living of all and that the poor will make wealth in the commercialization of food products” Conteh stated.
“Every Body for Farm” is the theme of the song expected to be produced by the king of pop, he disclosed. Adding, music and drama is the fastest trend to communicate with the people on issues that needs address.
He assures that General Sfano will deliver through music and his crafty dance skills to the expectation of the global people especially Sierra Leoneans as a domestic example.
Conteh said that Michael Jackson’s Earth Song on forest reservation and securing the lives of livestock could be an inspiration to the living Sierra Leone born pop idol. Adding, General Sfano is the Kind of musician with global thoughts and feelings in music believing to attract the attention of people through his song and video to this project.
Meanwhile, a song by the pop star that is expected to be promoting food Sufficiency and Food Security by several electronics medium in the country is reported to have started at Forensic Records in Freetown.
