The Chief Executive Officer of the Thinking Pink Breast Cancer Foundation Mrs. Cremelda Parkinson Pratt made this disclosure when they paid an official visit to the President,  Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, to brief him about the activities.

She revealed that for the past years they have been engaging institutions and women in particular about raising awareness on breast cancer in the country with the little funds they received from their partners, adding that all this while they have not been receiving government support in terms of financial support and appeal to the president for his intervention so that the foundation can achieve its aims and objectives.

Mrs. Pratt explained that the purpose of the mini-marathon is to raise awareness on breast and prostate cancer and the importance of early detection, as part of the celebration marking one year of active service in the country.

She maintained that they will use the marathon event to raise funds for the foundation and to raise more awareness to people in which survivors of the cancer will be around to brief the public about their experience.
