President Koroma visits Teko barracks

Latest reports reaching this press has indicated that president Ernest Bai Koroma, on Saturday August 24th 2013, played host to soldiers at Teko Barracks in Makeni.

Our reports add that President Koroma was taken on a conducted tour of the brigade by the brigade commander of 4th infantry brigade Col. B.T. Massaquoi. President Koroma’s visit is sequel to wild rumours doing the rounds that soldiers of Teko Barracks have hold an unauthorized meeting to over thrown the presidency and he has reassured the soldiers of that barracks that there is no cause for alarm as all is well within the RSLAF.

The Brigade commander of 4th brigade is said to be very disturbed with the rumours of an alleged coup although 12 people are presently under police investigation in a bid to unravel the true story of their suspect meeting.

It could be recalled that a year ago Col. B.T Massaquoi was the commanding officer of Benguema Training Centre (BTC) when two weapons disappeared at the B.T.C. and it was later discovered around Lumley Beach.

Our investigation has revealed that both the Chief of Defense staff (CDS) Maj Gen. Samuel Omar Williams and the Joint Force Commander (JFC)Brig Gen. Brima Sesay alias Bureh are very much displeased with what is happening in Makeni especially at the Teko barracks were it is believed is the strong hold of President Koroma.

An aide to Brigadier Gen. Brima Sesay told this press that the General had wanted to travel to Makeni to put the situation under control but was stopped by his bosses.
