Time to try the clergy… Reverend Joe Moiba breaks silence

After losing the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) flag bearer contest in 2011, Reverend Dr. Joseph Gaima Lukulay Moiba, Ph.D. (Cand, UK) submerged, but he has now re-emerged with his political theory which states that only the genuine clergy can redeem this nation from its current political, social and economic malaise.

Reverend Moiba holds that only religious and God-fearing leaders can catapult this nation to prosperity. He is with the opinion that any nation ruled by satanic people is doomed. He is firmly convinced that moral bankruptcy is the pivot around which almost all the problems revolve.

The erudite clergyman is of the view that leaders who use anti-God means to shoot themselves to power can never offer much good to their people; they are bound to continue their ungodly activities by exploiting their people for their own personal aggrandizement.

According to Reverend Moiba, Sierra Leone has reached a time to try the clergy; the clergy must be given the opportunity to instill their religious values into national politics; the clergy must now rule to remove this country from the anus of the UN index.

Although Reverend Moiba is yet to publicly declare his intention to re-contest for the SLPP flag bearer position for the 2018 elections, it appears he has the intention to do so if situation demands.

Being the first black civil servant in Norway, Reverend Mioba wants the Norwegians to massively invest in Sierra Leone through him. He told this medium that he did not abandon his luxury in Norway to come and fleece his people, but to liberate them from the bondage of poverty.

“If the SLPP and the rest of Sierra Leoneans actually knew my virtues and capabilities, I would not have lost the party’s flag bearer contest on which I spent almost a billion Leones,” he stressed.

Reverend Moiba has been a grand chief patron of the SLPP for many years now. Rising from ordinary member to patron and member of the patron’s council in the South-East, Joseph Moiba is also member of the SLPP elders council in the South of Sierra Leone. He is well known all over Sierra Leone and the international community, especially in Norway from where hails his wife and children.

Reverend Moiba has served in various capacities within the SLPP, sponsored and continues to sponsor SLPP candidates at elections, and is the brain behind the development of SLPP in the South-East. He is one of the architects of the peace in Sierra Leone as evident in the fact that he wrote his PhD thesis on the topic, RELIGION AND PEACE MAKING IN SIERRA LEONE and while pursuing his M. Phil, he did his major work on the topic, CONFLICT AND PEACE IN SIERRA LEONE: THE ROLE OF COUNCIL OF CHURCHES AND THE INTER-RELIGIOUS COUNCIL.
