Five retailers benefit from Airtel prizes
Five Airtel retailers within the Kenema zone (Kenema and Kailahun districts) have on Monday, 15th July, 2013 benefited from Airtel prizes (retailer to the power) ranging from generators and motor bikes to credit.
Speaking before the raffle draw the Zonal Business Manager of Airtel Sierra Leone East, Mr. Desmond Spaine, said the day marked another historic day in the history of Kenema as long before this time their customers have benefitted from Airtel Sierra Leone by wining prizes but that as a company they thought it fit that it will be good for their retailers to gain from Airtel.
He also stated that one major rule of the raffle was that if they called any winner and the subscriber’s phone is off they will raffle for another number until they finally have a winner and that nobody out of Kenema zone is part of the draw, adding that the raffle is a transparent one.
He said the prizes include three generators and two new motor bikes and other side attraction prices.
He explained that the raffle is not for any Airtel staff or relative of that staff but rather it is for retailers and for one to be qualified for the draw you have to sell at least 10,000 units.
He revealed that at the last draw 806 retailers enrolled while only 479 retailers were qualified for the draw, but that this time 637 retailers qualified for the draw.
He called on all retailers to enroll more by selling more than 10,000 units and above as the promotion will last up to August 15, 2013 which will be the day of the grand draw where one can win a ticket to watch the Manchester United game at Old Trafford.
The lucky winners were:
- Majo Adu Burma, 3 Section Kenema with mobile number 078-785909 winning a generator,
- Abdulai A. Foday of Kenema with mobile number 078-994186 winning generator,

- Momoh Kobbie of Baojibu town with mobile number 078-994186 winning motor bike and Mamie Sawanneh of Samai town winning motor bike.
Expressing happiness and thanks to Airtel one of the winners of the motor bikes, Mamie Sawanneh , said Airtel has made him proud and that he will remain to be grateful to Airtel for making him to be a motor bike owner.
He called on other retailers to remain selling Airtel top up as it will bring more benefits to them, while appealing to Airtel management to have more raffles of this kind.
