Sierra Leone Police Commandant Bags Award

The commandant of the police training school, Superintendent Tamba Moses Biango has received a plaque from the Inspector General of police (IG) Mr Francis Alieu Munu as the best commandant in recent time.

Superintendent Biango has 24 years police experience and has worked as Local Unit Commander in Pujehun during the 2007 presidential elections, he headed research and planning at the police head quarters to the then AIG Mrs Kadie Fakondoh  and as support officer proceeded to keep peace in Darfur at the mission head quarters as personnel officer.

On several occasions he acted as officer in change of personnel in Darfur. On his returned home he was posted to Kabala as Local Unit Commander (LUC) were he was able to maintain proper security in the entire Koinadugu district. He was later transferred to PTS as commandant where he has excelled himself to the highest degree.  During this tenure as commandant he has made sure that proper discipline was instilled in the trainees and he has both National and International experience in policing.

From 1st to 6th December last year, he attended a conference of commandant of police training colleges in south Pretoria, South Africa, organized by the African Union (AU).  Quite apart from that he has attended several causes in Ghana, Kenya, and Gambia, where he excelled.
