An 8 Channel TV For Salone
News reaching this media alerts that the whole of Sierra Leone is soon to benefit from an 8 channel TV station called Capital Cable Network Television; a development many Sierra Leoneans have been looking forward to for a very long time now. According to the Managing Director Mohamed Jah the channels TV will soon hit the airwaves and will be dedicated to producing Christian and Muslim education programmes, sports and entrainment, environment education, international news and musical channel. He revealed that the equipment and all necessary modalities are on course for the versatile TV station to be installed in the country.
The television installation he revealed will commence during the coming month of February stating that the station will be based in Freetown with repeaters placed in strategic locations so as to cover the entire country. Mr Jah also said that this will be the first digital television to be operated in Sierra Leone, noting that the station will not be free-to-air but the cost will be affordable to Sierra Leoneans as it is an all Sierra Leonean entity.
Mr. Jah also said the station will be supported by Telecast, television manufacturer based in the United States and China and will be equipped with a Video-On-demand system and also an Outside Broadcast unit which will be available for out of studio broadcast. He said that the station will broadcast fifty percent local and fifty percent foreign programs.
