Koya Community gets Le311M clinic

The Koya Community in the Western Rural District has benefitted from a modern health centre worth Le311 Million provided by the government of Sierra Leone through the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA).

NaCSA, past Friday, handed over the centre to the Koya people during an impressive ceremony which attracted several dignitaries including Councilor Mohamed Thorlie of Ward 350.

Speaking at the ceremony in Koya Town, Councilor Thorlie lavished praise on government and NaCSA for assisting the community with the health facility. He used the occasion to highlight several other constraints the community is facing and called on government and NaCSA to help solve the other problems.

NaCSA Information and Communication Officer, Sento Kargbo, stated that the Commission is there to champion the cause of needy communities by ensuring that deprived communities gain from development projects. Madam Kargbo described NaCSA as a future-focused organization charged with the responsibility of promoting President Koroma’s Agenda for Prosperity.

She concluded by calling on the community people to make best use of the health centre, promising them further support whenever funds are available.
