Ahmadiyya in America

Patriotic Sierra Leoneans in Maryland, USA, have formed an organization to support Ahmadiyya schools in Sierra Leone. The organization is called Zintabah USA and was founded three months ago by an international business magnate, Kalilu Fadika.

In an interview Yesterday with Sierra Express Media, the founder Mr. Fadika stated that the purpose of the organization is to generate funds to assist Ahmadiyya secondary schools with scholarship, library and laboratory facilities and renovation of school structures among others.

The organization, he said, will soon embark on a series of fund raising activities in the USA.

”We are trying to emulate the good example of other schools that get sponsorship from abroad,” Mr. Fadika noted, adding that they have already set up their executive and started contributing funds.

Other founding members of the organization are Sulaiman Conteh, alias Sul Bongo, Sheku Kabba and others all of whom are old boys and girls of Ahmadiyya schools.

The president of the organization is Sawidatu Malador Kamara and the Vice President is Alie Sheriff while Kalilu Kamara is serving as financial Secretary and Huda Murad Sillah is treasurer. D.D Abu is Secretary-General assisted by Bimbi Kamara.

Nana Kamara is the Public Relations officer and Wara Jah the chief whip. The organizing secretary is Isatu Twin. Advisers include Sam Shaw and Alusine Sillah. Other members are Ibrahim Mansaray and Mamie Iye Abu.
