No Accommodation for 758 Pupils

“With 758 SSS1 Candidates at the Sierra Leone Int. Mission School with limited space to accommodate them is a great challenge,” said the SSS principal Mr. Lionel S. Kanu.

According to Mr. Lionel S. Kanu the Sierra Leone Int. Mission School (SLIMS) located at 24 Momoh Lane, Old Wharf, Wellington, are rapidly making positive strides in building up the children of the school.

Mr. Kanu commented this is his 4th season in the school, adding that when he took over there was only one teacher at the school, compared to the present status of up to 15 qualified teachers.  Mr. Kanu noted that SLIMS is a Government assisted school with greater impact at community level.

On the issue of the 6,3,4,4 method of education they are facing a greater challenge as Government is trying to see that the afternoon shift method of education is effect.

He confirmed to this press that the relationship between student and teachers within the campus is something good to write about.

However, Mr. Lionel S. Kanu noted that they have put brains at work and positive mechanism to ensure that the success of the school is complimented.

He further commented on the area of discipline between the staffs and teachers which he assures are on the right track.

However, Mr. Lionel S. Kanu noted that his vision is to see that Sierra Leone Int. Mission school products become future leaders in sub Region.
