“Back to Work Elections are Over…” Says Charles Mambu
Civil Society activist, Mr. Charles Mambu, has called on Sierra Leoneans to return to work with full swing now the electoral processes is almost at the end.
Mr. Mambu made this clarion call in a radio discussion programme on Monday morning November 26. He said people should put behind the business of the elections and get along until after five years when the next national elections will be held for Sierra Leonean to choose who they want again just like they have done this year.
On the announcement of Parliamentary and Local Council Elections results by NEC, Charles Mambu pointed out that the people of this country are getting frustrated because of the delay in the announcement of the Parliamentary results from which the legislature emanates, noting that the parliamentary results are as important as the executive arm of government.
On the victory of the incumbent APC government, Charles Mambu who has been a staunch observer of the country’s Free Health Care system said the charisma and hard work of the campaign team of President Koroma and the party made the APC succeed in infiltrating and penetrating the strongholds of the opposition SLPP in the South East of the country, and this inward flow resulted in the APC splitting votes in those areas.
