Stop Political Intimidation!
Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) parliamentary aspirant for Constituency 102, Mohamed Kamara (aka Med Kay) addressed youths from various political backgrounds at his eastern Paddies Night Club, Kissy, in denouncing political intimidation.
The SLPP aspirant prime message was a total stop on the issue of political intimidation amongst youthful party supporters. He urged all political parties to demonstrate a sense of responsibility and honor to the commitment of peace, democracy and national unity, in order to build a prosperous nation.
He admonished youths that some politicians have been out of the country for a long period of time, thereby losing touch with the issue at hand. He said youths should be aware of sugar coated tongue politicians, whose real thick skin is to cream the nation for their own selfish gains.
Kamara noted that youths should focus development of their various constituencies rather than fighting and intimidating their fellow Sierra Leoneans. He admonished further that youths must avoid using abusive language.
The aspirant advised youth organizations and groups that they should focus on organizing debates, asking questions about the various political manifestos, and how they can contribute towards developing their constituencies; adding that they should not encourage any politicians using them for the wrong reason with lacing their mind in the hour of election with drugs and alcohol in exchange for votes.
Finally he called on all youths to see through peaceful and credible elections.
