Gang Rape… 19 year old survivor gets 14 stitches

Police are currently investigating an incident of alleged gang rape in which 19 years old Zainab Kamara was assaulted serially by three men and was left stabbed on the left check thereby sustaining a wound with fourteen stitches.

Zainab admitted that she is a commercial sex worker who left her residence on York Road, Waterloo, to fend a living for her family and children. She reported that over the weekend she made a stop at her usual rendezvous at Kello Relaxation Congo Water, Freetown, Waterloo Highway.

The survivor noted that on that fateful night she encountered a man that requested her service. She added that the man whose name she did not know but could identify if seen, took her to a nearby garage where they met with three others waiting.

Zainab further alleged that the three of them demanded sex but she refused their request.

According to the survivor the three men strangled her and took turn to rape her. She lamented that after raping her they scolded her, beat her up and stabbed her on her left cheek and inflicted a wound that cost her fourteen stitches, after which they escaped.

The police have however been able to clamp down one of the assailants named  Osman Kengor Kamara of  112 City Road, Wellington.

Meanwhile, Ops Office of the ‘D’ Division ASP Bandabla has confirmed that Osman Kengoh Kamara is in the police net while the two other culprits are on the run.
