Abass Kamara Wins Y2K Awards

A disciplined, dedicated, punctual and responsible defender of Y2K football club, Abass Kamara on Wednesday 17th October 2012 was presented with a trophy by the Team’s master tactician, coach Zay at the KT playing field in front of 50 players.

According to coach Zay, he said Abass Kamara is the most disciplined player in the Y2K team, always committed to the team, and always gives his best in training and competitions, adding he is a team leader in and off the field and hopes others will copy his football life style.

Speaking to the award winner, Abass Kamara told Sierra Express Media Sports that he is delighted to win a prestigious award and dedicated it to all of his colleagues, adding “Y2K players are disciplined and must be proud of the award as it is not for me alone but for us all”, he said.

Abass Kamara is a versatile defender who can play in areas of the defence and sometimes defensive midfielder as he has a very good control of the ball, passes on well, is physically strong, has good vision, and is always at his best in all competitions being a key player who has helped qualify Byrne Street to the grand final in the Brima Keita sponsored football competition held at KT playing field at Kingtom.
