Sports Minister Names Awoko and Nahim Khadi in Match Fixing Scandal

After involving the likes of JS Keifala, Morrison Sannoh, Abubakarr Sweet Kay Kabba, Alpha Coker, and Alimamy K-foot into match fixing, without evidence the Youth, Employment and Sports Minister Mr. Paul Kamara has again implicated two heavyweights, the former FA President Nahim Khadi, and Ex-Western Area Football Association Chairman Alim Awoko Sesay into the list of officials that are involved in allegations of match fixing!  (Photo: l-r  Alim Awoko Sesay, and Nahim Khadi)

According to Awoko, who featured in a radio programme days ago, when they were in South Africa the Malay scab football agent Wilson Raj Perumal met him after the latter was informed that he was the leader of delegation of the Leone Stars team, and after a brief conversation he directed him to Abubakarr Sweet Kay Kabba who was the Administrative Secretary, and since then there is nothing between himself and Raj Perumal, and he requested the minister to produce evidence that would show that he is involved in match fixing.

Further reports confirmed that Nahim Khadi who was undergoing medical treatment in England traveled to Malaysia and received the sum of $3,000.  Nahim Khadi has been silent since he resigned his position and has not said anything about the match fixing scandal.

“Where is the evidence of match fixing, or is he trying to embarrass people who have contributed immensely to football in the name of football politics?” football stakeholders inquired.

Leone Stars will be having a crucial away Nations Cup knockout match in Tunisa on the 13th October 2012, but the match fixing scandal has overshadowed preparations ahead of the match.
