The World Economic Forum (WEF) in partnership with FJP has released the World Economic Forum which featured Sierra Leone for the first time to be part of nation with economic viability to compete in providing a better living condition for its inhabitants.

The Global Competitive Index (GCI) report has ranked Sierra Leone 142 out of 144 countries in the world. Sierra Leone alongside her sister nation Liberia are mentioned in this report showing that both countries are a making sufficient threshold of generating sustained prosperity of their citizen.

This report suggests that another country’s may be able to use the expected natural resources to allocate sustainable improvement in the lives of their citizens. Taking into consideration 12 pillars tagged as indicators which include institutions, infrastructure, health, primary education, labour markets, efficiency etc.

The report shows that Switzerland was once ranked the worst country owing to it multi-ethnic background that create a stifling atmosphere for growth, but overcoming such challenges today ranked them amongst the leading nations in the world.

According to the parameter used to rank Sierra Leone is the best place conducive for business purpose.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of FJP Development and Management consultant Dr. Omodele Jones, says Sierra Leone needs to do more to improve in its business climate environs to foster more economic opportunities. Saying that if this is not admitted change cannot occur.
