Blind Sierra Leonean musician Sorie Kondi to tour USA

Sorie Kondi, Sierra Leone’s famous blind kondi player, who is in many ways the country’s Stevie Wonder (although not rich or internationally famous) will be touring the United States in October 2012, according to the itinerary released by his promoters.

After a first failed attempt to do so earlier, he finally succeeded in securing a visa aided by his sponsors and promoters. He is a household name in his native land where he taught himself to play the kondi instrument at an early age, and due to his prowess and ingenuity in playing the instrument, earned the name, Sorie Kondi. Visit his website:www.SorieKondi.com for more details.

Sierra Leoneans in particular, and other potential fans are expected to come out and support him in their thousands to witness the magic, passion and the powerful message he brings to share with the western world.

His music and performance will never stop to amaze his audience, after escaping and emerging from the ruins and wreckage of war. He adroitly puts together, in some of the major languages in Sierra Leone, the broken chords of love among humanity, and seeks harmony with his soul, a gigantic pursuit he hopes to achieve through his unique music. In the following video clip, Sorie sings in his native language, Loko:
