Airtel continues support to adopted schools

Leading mobile company in the country, Airtel, has never ceased its support to schools they adopted.

In continuity of their welcomed gesture, Airtel has imported both text books and exercise books from Ghana for REC Tombo in Tombo village, and Provincial Islamic Primary School in Kenema, the two adopted schools respectively.

Airtel has also gone further to renovate the tables and chairs for REC Tombo and provided a new set of  fifty desks and chairs that would accommodate 3 children each. The female teachers of REC Tombo requested a Home Economics department with kitchen utensils from Airtel to enable the kids to start learning how to cook. Airtel in turn has promised to give them the Home Economics department with full kitchen utensils. Ledgers for lesson notes will also be provided by Airtel.

Airtel has set aside basic funds to start this school year for the two adopted schools and has pointed out clearly that shortly from now an assessment will take place in the Northern Province for the next adoption process.

The first adoption took place in March 2011 in Freetown, the second adoption took place in May 2012 in the South East Kenema and the third adoption on the list will be in the Northern Province.
