Fake London Mining Workers Remanded
Accused persons Morray Minkailu Musa a business man and Abu Bangura a petty trader who pretended to be workers of London Mining Company made their second appearance before Magistrate Komba Kamanda of court No 2 yesterday, Tuesday 4,th on a one count charge of conspiracy to defraud contrary to law, where both accused pleaded not guilty.
According to the particulars of the offence, the said accused persons on Tuesday 29th May this year at Aberdeen conspired together and with unknown persons to defraud Kadija Kamara a second year student of the College of Accountants in Waterloo the sum of $4,500 equivalent to Le20 million, for fifteen small bottles of liquid marthed dredge power sodium.
It’s further stated that, on the said date the complainant Kadija Kamara received a call from the accused persons that they are workers at the London Mining Company, claiming that they own a house at IMATT insisting that the substance should be sold to Kadija by the company at the cost of $500 each knowing it to be false pretence.
Sgt Fatmata Sesay 3698 stood for the prosecution and the matter was adjourned to the 11th September.
