SLAJ bids farewell to two executive members

Freetown- The National Secretariat of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists wishes to inform its members and the general public that it has received and accepted, with a heavy heart, the resignations from the executive of the National Public Affairs Secretary, Mr. Sayoh Kekura Kamara and Mr Rogers, Vice Chairman of SLAJ Southern region.

Both men have resigned to pursue their political career at the national level.

While Mr Kamara is aspiring to secure a party symbol to contest for a parliamentary seat in his native Koinadugu district, Mr Rogers is pursuing the same in Pujehun.

“The two men have given meritorious services to the Association for four years on a voluntary basis and they acquitted themselves extremely well” says SLAJ President, Umaru Fofana. Fofana wished both men good luck in their endeavours and said he hopes they will “further strive to make Sierra Leone a better place for our and future generations”.

On behalf of the association, the National Secretariat wishes our former executive colleagues and all journalists moving into the political landscape of our beloved country the very best of luck.
