Africell participates in the inauguration ceremony of Temne Mosque’s Chief Imam Sheik Ibrahim Kamara

Africell the 2008, 2009, and 2011  All Works of Life (AWOL) award winning GSM telecommunications operator on Friday April 20th participated in the inauguration of the Chief Imam Sheik Ibrahim Kamara of Jami-ul-Jalil Temne Central Mosque Jamaat, as part of their social corporate responsibility.

In an exclusive interview with Africell’s head of administration Mr. Abdul Aziz Gabisi  told SEM that Africell believes in touching the spiritual and economic lives of people in the community it serves and even those who are not Africell subscribers.

He further said that Africell has brought colour to the occasion, adding that Africell would like to sustain its collaboration with the Jamaat of all other mosques associated with the central mosque.

Mr. Gabisi on behalf of the Managing Director, management and staff of Africell congratulated the Chief Imam on this great occasion.

In expressing thanks and appreciation the newly inaugurated Imam Sheik Ibrahim Kamara said he is happy over the good works of Africell in Sierra Leone.

He said he will serve the mosque and his congregation as expected.

Giving the vote of thanks, Alhaji Gibril Alhaji Koroma the chairman of the inauguration committee in the Jami-ul-Jalil Temne central mosque thanked Africell for giving them Le 3 million to help them enhance preparations for the occasion. He said they were happy over the wide coverage of their program which Africell  made possible.

Alhaji Gibril said they are happy now as one family as their Jamaat is enjoying a spirit of unison and that there is no dispute among them.

He gave a brief biography of the Chief Imam, Alhaji Shiek Ibrahim Kamara as the Principal Imam of Jami-ul-Jalil Temne central mosque Jamaat and all mosques and Jamaats affiliated branches of theTemne tribal and Muslim community in Freetown. He said he was born at Robatt Bakkeh village in the Magbema, chiefdom, Kambia District Northern Sierra Leone on Thursday 27th January 1938.
