Sierra Express Sports understands that the Acing FA President Joseph S. Keifala, Mighty Blackpool’s Chairman – Alpha Timbo, Ex- Chairman of   EE Lions  -Alhaji Mohamed Nabie, FC Johansen owner – Isha Johansen, Ex-Premier League Board Chairman – Rodney Michael, Chairman Real Republicans – Brima Mazola Kamara, and England based Christian Dauda are all interested in replacing the incumbent Nahim Khadi the SLFA president.

On Sunday 14th April 2012, football stakeholders in the country adopted the new draft constitution of the football Association in an extraordinary congress held in Kabala in northern Sierra Leone.

During the congress there were certain amendments made by delegates which will limit the chances of some aspirants to vie for the FA Presidency.

Article 32 Section 4 and 5 states: anyone who wants to vie for any FA executive position must be a Sierra Leonean, and must reside in the country for a period of not less than five years prior to the congress to which they seek to be elected.

Section 5 also says that aspirants must also hold an executive position of a club or body associated with SLFA as a member during the five years preceding the election and must not involves fraud or dishonesty by a competent court.

These articles will end up eliminating half of the aspirants from contesting for the FA presidency in July 2012 as some members are currently not residing in Sierra Leone while some candidate have never held executive positions in the FA.

J.S Keifala, Alpha Timbo, Alhaji Mohamed Nabie, and Rodney Michael are Veteran Football administrators and if eligible, one of them will replace the incumbent, Nahim Khadi who has been residing in England for the past four  years.
