Meet Nelly George
27 year old Sierra Leonean London-based model Nelly George is currently in Sierra Leone on vacation. She is looking for companies to sign her up for sale of their products. This gorgeous and curious looking model has outshined the classics to beat and build her copyright as she is currently interested in working with shared spirit of teamwork.
Nelly spoke to Sierra Express Media on her plans in the arts and where she is at after her nine month sojourn in the professional field of modelling. She has a background in performing arts, drama, and dance and holds a degree in business studies. She discovered her worth in modelling and is very excited about being in the industry. “Exactly nine months ago, I embarked on a modelling career. My goal was to build my portfolio and get signed by an agency”, she said.
She kept her eyes close on the nature of the job of modelling and and now she is in the market to see what she can offer her clients. This is what she regards: “Commercial modelling comes with all sorts of challenges, which I was able to overcome. With such challenges one needs to build the level of exposure more with voyages and I did travel and got to work with some of the best photographers the industry has to offer. In total I worked with over 15 international photographers and was able to get well over 500 images for my portfolio”, she stated.
Photo shots for this level of exposure are many to choose from and from these expeditions she carved an image on her own. She has creative and thought-provoking concepts. Some of those concepts, she says came from her voyage of the Bondage, Virginia beach swimwear, Ann Summers lingerie, beauty, Halloween shoot, Christmas shoot, winter collection 2011/2012, Apple, Ford and Lincoln cars, Honda bike, horse shoot, implied nude and several studio shoots.
She also entered the DMV international competition of the year and the 2011 America Next Top Model.
Nelly George was one of the presenters for the Miss Sierra Leone@50 which went remarkably well. She says she is willing and able to present other roles even though she is currently signed by two UK agencies: ‘Model Plus, and Model Connect’.
