Albert G Lavay Trophy, Nations Cup – Sierra Leone to duel Libya this weekend

Albert Gibao Lavay Nations Cup will climax this weekend, Saturday 31st March 2012 at the Bango Farm playing field between Leone Stars versus Libya.

Both teams reached the grand final unbeaten and Leone Stars are the favorite to lift the giant gold trophy worth the sum of one million Leones.

The sponsor, Albert Gibao Lavay told Sierra Express Media sport that all modalities have been put in place for the one month long competition to be colourful.

According to him, “the winner will receive a gold trophy, gold medals, the sum of Le 250,000 plus certificates and the runners up will bag the sum of Le 2,500,000, silver medals, certificates, and there will also be consolation prizes for Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Highest Goal Scorer, Best Behaved Team and Best Coach,” Gibao boasted.

The football grand final will be climaxed with a beauty pageant and the winner will be decorated with Miss Ward 333 fashion dress, 22 inches plasma Television worth the sum of Le2,500,000, runners up will receive the sum of Le 2,500,000, third place winner Le 1,500,000 and 4th place winner Le 1,000,000.

Albert .G. Lavay who intends to vie for councillorship at Ward 333 under the All Peoples Congress Party in the upcoming November 17th elections told Sierra Express Media Sports that “the whole of Ward 333 will storm the grand final, including high profile politicians under the red umbrella.”
