As Shears-Moses Report out – Musa Tarawally in hot water

The embattled Minister of Internal Affairs, Musa Tarawally was spotted moving about the capital, Freetown, on Saturday, March 24 at Brookfields by St. Joseph’s Covent onboard a black Mercedes Benz AGR 833 without his official bodyguards.   (Photo: Musa’s Benz due for fuelling at the Total Gas Station)

Some youths around the vicinity were concerned because the troublemaking Minister of Internal Affairs who hardly walks without his lofty convoy sadly does so on Saturday with questions following: “ Musa where is the convoy?” as he drove along.

Musa stopped by the Total Gas Station to fuel his car but could not stand the questioning pressure of the youths from where our Reporter spotted him. He winched his car glasses down thirsty of words but could not dominate the floor as usual as the questions were too much for him to counter.

The joke of Saturday surrounds Musa Tarawally’s denying attitude that he wasn’t sure the President was going to come down hard on him upon the slamming Shears Moses Report which names him as one of the perpetrators of political violence in the country.

The two possible men for the ICC’s radar

The youths who were part of the thanks to President Koroma’s Million Man March’ spent comments on the minister and were saying: “the President meant his words when he said he would spare no sacred cows in dealing with perpetrators of violence in the country”.

Musa’s unusual lone driving happened at a time the Shears Moses report on political violence in Gendema, Pujehun and Kenema was being made public in a government white paper. The government’s press release speaks clear on the action line of President Koroma who as usual is stressing his zero tolerance on violence perpetrators.

Many are asking whether Musa Tarawally would be able to move about the country when he would have been sacked, without those armed full of police personnel with whom he used to unleash mayhem on opponents.

Read more in our next edition how Musa Tarawally masterminds the testimony conference of seven members who came to confess just to exonerate his misdeeds, how much he paid to import them from the provinces and how he has been made available for the ICC rake him into The Hague.
