The former SLPP icon politician recently declared for the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) on conditions stating that he is impressed with the leadership style of president Koroma in the country. He said in an interview over the telephone that his decision to declare for the APC is not for money or a job, but it is out of his personal admiration for the leadership style of President Ernest Bai Koroma. He commended president Koroma for using his academic prowess to turn Sierra Leone around for the better.
Dr. Sandy said President Koroma deserves a second term to enable him accomplish his promises of constant and affordable supply of electricity, heightening infrastructural development, advancing agricultural production and healthcare facilities through his Free Healthcare Delivery initiative among others.
He said he resigned from the main opposition SLPP, join forces with the ruling party to ensure they have an edge over votes in the southeast of the country – a region the opposition is boasting to be its stronghold.
