Army Retirees may storm RITCORP

Upset Army retirees have vowed to storm the offices of Reliance Insurance Trust Corporation (RITCORP) in protest for their benefits.

The retirees, who told this press that they took leave of the military on the 31st December 2011, further said that it was their expectation they would have received their insurance benefits from RITCORP since January 2012.

The retired soldiers have threatened to storm the forenamed insurance company on the grounds of depicting ‘no payment’ of their retirement savings.

Disclosures are that there is an understanding between RITCORP and its military and police clients that a sum totaling Le 5 million is payable to all retired clients with minimum of two years savings.

According to a retired Major (name withheld), he said the military has long ago submitted to RITCORP a comprehensive list of retired army personnel.

Failure of management of RITCORP to pay retirement benefits to the retirees has prompted anger and frustration in the retirees’ minds, hence their anticipated protest.

A rival insurer – Capital Insurance – we are told has paid its clients (Army retirees) sometime in January 2012.
