Mystery corpse discovered at cement factory

Santos Kargbo, 21, Saturday 31st was found dead at the cement factory; police say he was a thief but community residents insist he was one of the workers at the factory.

Police source say Santos’s remains were discovered at a location at the cement factory where the company’s machine – conveyor belt – is currently installed.

“We’ve been told by management of the cement factory that the deceased is a suspected thief and not a worker at all,” Ross Road police revealed.

“No doubt the corpse of Santos was found at cement factory compound though.”

It is also disclosed by the Local Unit Commander of Ross Road Police Station; Chief Superintendent Ibrahim Koroma that during a postmortem it was revealed that death of Santos was caused by spinal cord and close head injuries.  That the deceased died as a result of cerebral hemorrhage compression of T2 conveyor belt cement.

Residents of Cline Town say however that the deceased was formerly an employee of the cement factory; and was known by a number of people within the Cline Town community.

Community residents blamed the police and said: “they’ve acted unjustly in their investigation of the death of Santos.

That it was wrong of the police to accept as truth, assertions of management of the cement factory that the deceased Santos is a thief and not an employee at all.

“This is total disbelief,” youths in Cline Town said, “it is not true that Santos is a thief. He was working for the cement factory.”

In her exact words, the Human Resource Officer Madam Dapnine During said she will practically not make any comment with regard the death of Santos, as according to her: “the matter is under police investigation.”
