Police to Arrest Loko-Masama Paramount Chief

Aids to Paramount Chief Bai Massoh Laminaya Ngbathor II of Lokomassama Chiefdom Friday 9th beat up Bangalie Mansaray a local inhabitant of Gbentuwallah village.

His beating, neighbours say, was as a result of a piece of Land at Masama village, few miles to Gbentuwallah village.

Sources say that there was disagreement between Bangalie and Paramount Chief Bai Massoh over the said land.

Eye witness accounts say nevertheless that Bangalie was attacked at his home in Gbentuwallah village by persons loyal to PC Bai Massoh.

Adekalie Kamara and three others (all claiming to be bodyguards of PC Bai Massoh), we are told; hardheartedly beat up Bangalie on the orders of PC Bai Massoh.

That disputed farmland was longed placed as collateral to Bangalie by one Pa. Alpha Turay.

“I was present when Bangalie was beaten by Adekalie and others,” one Foday Bangura said.

“I saw them beat up Bangalie and later carted away with bundles of harvested rice.”

The crime officer of Lokomassa Police, Detective Ibrahim Payne, in an interview said however that Bangalie was brought to the police station with torn clothes accompanied by number of Chiefdom Police Officers.

Adakalie, who happened to be one of the suspects, confessed to our correspondent that he was with others at Gbentuwallah village to arrest Bangalie on the orders of the Paramount Chief.

Although he denied beating Bangalie, he was seen boasting that nothing come out of their action as long the Paramount Chief favours them.

Bangalie is reportedly responding to treatment at the Lungi hospital. Sources say he observed profusely bleeding blood from his nose and complained pain all over his body.

PC Bai Massah was contacted at his home at Lokomassa for comment but was not found at all.

The matter is currently being investigated at Lungi police Station.
