SLPP strong-man donates Le 38 M to Kissy police

2007 Parliamentary aspirant for the opposing Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), Mr. Mohamed Kamara (aka Med Kay), has donated a whopping sum of Le 38.2 m for the refurbishment of two Police Stations in the East of Freetown.

Med Kay who doubles as Chairman of the Police Partnership Board in Kissy said the gesture is geared towards enhancing productivity in the Sierra Leone Police Force thus ensuring that personnel operate in a better atmosphere.

Med Kay highlighted however that Le 2.4 m of the donation is meant to renovate the Kissy Mess-Mess Police division whereas the Le 36 m will go towards the reconstruction of the Black Hall Road Police Station.

He said he has been supporting Police patrol teams with the sum of Le 200,000 on a nightly basis as this has helped reduced the spate of armed robbery in the Kissy community.

The philanthropist cum politician pointed that in his capacity as chairman of the partnership board, he has facilitated the withdrawal of over 72 case files in court for in-house settlement.

Med Kay is reportedly has made other generous donations to other sectors which included bags of cement to respective mosques in various communities in Kissy; 100 bags of cement to the New site mosque; 50 bags to the Mende mosque etc.

Med Kay has had timeless moment with regard the construction of standing pipes, doling of scholarships to students of vocational training institutions and many more.

Med Kay is also the proprietor of the well-known East End Paddies Night Club.
