HCI-FPFS celebrates two years of existence

Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity (HCI-FPFS) organized a press briefing on 29th September, at Brima Lane Junction, with the topic “NATO is covert war on the person of Hugo Chavez”.

Reading his statement to a cross section of journalists, Mr. Alimamy Bakarr Sankoh, President of the organization said Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity has been in existence since 2007, but this year is special for two reasons.

He said the first reason is that the foundation has recorded tremendous successes in its two years campaign of truth and dedication to defend the illuminating personality of Dr. Hugo Chavez, the democratically elected President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

And second reason is that the foundation has been registered as a charity development-oriented and Non Governmental Organization with a NGO status.

He said the foundation has deliberately chosen the topic of ‘NATO’s covert war of the person of Hugo Chavez’ so as to interact with and engage people on how serious are the issues.

He noted that NATO always manufactures lies and manipulates the public to demonize President Hugo Chavez because, according him, the Venezuelan leader is not corrupt and cannot be turned to become a cheap pawn to extreme capitalism.

He said he is not the leader who betrays the conscience of his people.

He maintained that the demand is that, AU and Africa Governments should not allow foreign detractors to dupe them into subscribing to the dangerous precedence being set by the forces that seek the overthrow of the legitimate Government of Libya through the barrel of the gun.
