Chief Scout of Mount Aureole/SLIFA, Benjamin Godwin also known as ‘Dididon’ is set to face the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) Disciplinary Committee following a recent misunderstanding between him and the owner of Anti Drugs FC/Chairman of Western Area Football Association (WAFA) Unisa Alim Sesay aka Awoko.  (Photo: SLIFA team on a recent tour)

Dididon’s side SLIFA FC lost 1-0 to Awoko’s side Anti Drugs FC past Monday at the Parade ground playing field.

The match sparked off serious trouble and as a result brought to light a serious fight between the two club owners – Dididon and Awoko.

Awoko, who on the one side is the Chairman of WAFA and on the other side the owner of Anti Drugs FC, was allegedly accused of using his position to influence match officials to fix the match between his team and SLIFA FC.

It could be recalled that Awoko, on a number of occasions, has had field days using his position to make wins for his team Anti Drugs FC.

Public assessment survey states that the recent brawl between Awoko and Dididon came owing to the unrealistic officiating of the match between the aforementioned football teams this past Monday.

“WAFA must be seen neutral in this case,” some football fans said. “Awoko, we are told, was at the parade playing ground as WAFA Chairman but as team owner of Anti Drugs FC.”
