Ambassador to Kuwait robbed!
Investigators attached to Eastern Police Station are having sleepless nights trying to uncover an armed robbery attack on Sierra Leone’s Deputy Ambassador to Kuwait, Sheik Nabbie.
Police sources indicate that Ambassador Nabbie was attacked and robbed by unknown armed men along Sani Abacha Street while driving a Nissan Pathfinder vehicle with registration number AER 759 Saturday 16th.
It is disclosed that the attacking robbers went away with a black bag containing Le3,800,000, Sierra Leone Kuwait Embassy documents and quantum of Sierra Leone passports.
In his path, Sergeant 3830 told our reporter that the unknown robbers sprung the attack at exactly 1: 00 a.m., thereby causing distress to Ambassador Sheik Nabbie.
The police sergeant maintained they have been able to arrest persons believed to be real time perpetrators of such a crime.
Umaru Conteh alias ‘Shake Head’ of 25 Mill Street was nabbed with a kitchen knife and scissors, Abdul Karim alias Kaytabay with one big butcher knife and Wurie Barrie of 19 Mill Street with house breaking equipment.
The local unit commander eastern police division, Chief Superintendent G.O.V Tarawallie and her operations officer, A.S.P Moses Hashim, vouched pursuing and bringing to book notorious criminals, as Sierra Leoneans celebrate peaceful independence anniversary.
