Club Brugge interested in Sierra Leonean midfielder

Sierra Express Media understands that Club Brugge has shown an interest in the Sierra Leonean attacking midfielder Mustapha Hadji Bangura (on the right in photo).

Saturday 9th April, Chaouart Henk, a scout for the Belgium side, was in the Tsirio Stadium Limassol to watch the Sierra Leonean midfielder in action. Chaouart is a former coach of Omonia and AEL.

However, it is not yet clear whether the deal will go ahead despite the fact that the Belgian scout has got together enough information about the player for the contract to go ahead; but what is clear is that Bangura remains a hot interest for Club Brugge.

And if this report is anything to go by Bangura the scorer of Sierra Leone’s only goal in Cairo v. Egypt (1-1) when both nations played, will be joining the thirteen times Belgian Champions next season.

Reports from Apollon indicate that officials of Club Brugge are aware of Apollo’s intention if they are to secure the player’s service, close to €2 million asking price and our sources believe that the Belgians are yet to make any official statement, but unconfirmed report says they are satisfied with the asking price for the Sierra Leonean.

Club Brugge will now have to make a formal proposal for the Sierra Leonean after they have a comprehensive picture of Bangura.
